About

Ninety percent of synthetic polymers produced are commodity polymers, owing to their exceptional cost-performance ratio. These versatile materials have found widespread applications across various industries after processing, including daily packaging, automotive components, healthcare products, and electrical appliances. It is of utmost significance to explore novel processing principles and technologies aimed at enhancing the high-performance capabilities of commodity polymers, including their mechanical properties and other innovative functionalities. This endeavor holds great potential for expanding their use in diverse fields and elevating their overall performance.

In order to meet the requirements of high-tech areas and to solve the global issues arising from polymer use, members in the PSE are carrying out innovative works to figure out the challenges towards high performance of commodity polymers in diverse areas, notably equipment development and processing control.
