Biography

Hua-Dong Huang is an associate professor and doctoral supervisor in the College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University. He was selected for the Sichuan "Tianfu Qingcheng Plan" for young scientific and technological talents, as a reserve candidate for Sichuan Province Academic and Technological Leaders, Sichuan University's "Hundred Talents Program", and as an Outstanding Young Scientific and Technological Leader at Sichuan University. After receiving Ph.D. degree from the College of Polymer Science and Engineering of Sichuan University, China, in 2015, he joined South China University of Technology as postdoctoral of Institute of Polymer Optoeletronic Materials and Devices from 2015 to 2016. He worked as research associate in Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, Case Western Reserve University, United States, from 2016 to 2017. Since September 2017, he has been working as an introduced talent at Sichuan University. Dr. Huang teaches courses such as "Polymer Physics" and "Material Structure and Properties", and has received numerous teaching awards, including the "Good Future Teaching Excellence Award" at Sichuan University, the National Petrochemical Education Outstanding Teaching Team Award, second prize in the First National Polymer Material Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, second prize in the Second National Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Course Ideological and Political Teaching Ability Competition, Sichuan University Outstanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Instructor Award, "Exploratory-Small Class" Excellent Teaching Quality Award, and the Excellent Undergraduate Thesis Advisor Award. His research interests focus on polymer dielectrics with high energy density and low dielectric loss for film capacitors, and high-performance and multi-functional cellulose-based biomass materials. He has undertaken various projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation's General and Youth Science Funds and the Sichuan Science and Technology Department's International Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation and Applied Basic Research Projects. To date, as the first/corresponding authors, more than 40 peer-reviewed papers have been published in competitive journals including Progress in Polymer Science and Macromolecules, with more than 1,500 SCI citations. He holds six authorized national invention patents and has received three provincial and ministerial-level awards.
