Dr. Hu received PhD degree from Sichuan University in 2018. Then he conducted postdoc research at Sichuan University since 2018. Since 2019, he worked as Research Associate Professor at Sichuan University. In 2024, he became a doctoral supervisor. Since he joined Sichuan University, he focuses on the preparation and application of high temperature polymers, including aromatic nitrile-based resins, polyimides, and so on. Since 2019, he developed a new class of high temperature thermoset resins named dicyanimidazole (DCI) resins. In 2022, he proposed a Acid-Based blending strategy to improve the processing of aromatic nitrile-based resins. And at the same year, he proposed an ultrasonic assistant freezing method to preparing aerogels with regulating structures and outstanding properties.

Research Interests

Preparation and application of high performance polymers

1. Aromatic nitrile-based resinsincluding phthalonitriledicyanimidazole resins

2. Polyimides

Preparation of aerogels and their application in thermal insulation, electromagnetic shielding and so on.
