Biography

Zhipeng Gu, male, is an associate researcher of School of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, a reserve candidate of the 13th batch of academic leaders in Sichuan Province, and selected as one of the fifth batch of “Double Hundred Talents Project” Plan B. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, from 2009 to 2014, and was engaged in the research on the application of medical polymers in the field of bone regeneration. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University from 2009 to 2014, where he was engaged in the research of medical polymers in bone regeneration, and his postdoctoral research at West China School of Clinical Medicine, Sichuan University from 2014 to 2016, where he was engaged in the application of medical polymers in the field of stroke, and He has chaired 11 projects including the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 50 papers in international journals such as Adv. Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev., Prog. Polym. Sci., Adv. Sci, CCS Chem. and Small etc. He has applied for 3 Chinese invention patents as the first applicant. As the first applicant, he has applied for 3 patents in China. We welcome interested PhD, MS and undergraduate students to join Mr. Li's group.


Research Interests

He was appointed as an associate researcher at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University from 2016 to 2019, where he was engaged in the research of medical polymers in bone regeneration and diabetic ulcer repair. bone regeneration and diabetic ulcer repair. Since July of the same year, he has been working in the group of Yi-Wen Li in the School of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, and his current research focuses on the scientific research and Industrial transformation of bioactive functional materials (polyphenols, polysaccharides, sanshool, etc.) for the application in medical cosmetology and biomedicine.
