Biography
Dr. Jun Luo obtained her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the School of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University, China, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. She then pursued her doctoral studies at Uppsala University, Sweden, where she was awarded her Ph.D. in 2018. Following her doctoral work, Dr. Jun Luo joined the research group of Prof. Jianshu Li at the School of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, in December 2018.
Research Interests
Dr. Jun Luo’s research focuses on the innovative design and application of bioadhesives derived from natural products, including silk fibroin and lipoic acid. Her work explores the potential of these materials in both soft and hard tissue repair, contributing significantly to the field of biomedical engineering. Dr. Jun Luo has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious scientific journals, serving as the first or corresponding author. Moreover, her work has led to the granting of several patents in the United States, Europe, and China.
Dr. Jun Luo has been the recipient of several research grants, including the General Program and Youth Program from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as the Youth Program from the Sichuan Provincial Natural Science Foundation. In recognition of her expertise, she regularly reviews manuscripts for high-impact journals such as Nature Materials and Advanced Science.
