Biography

Hua Deng is currently a full-time professor at the College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University. He obtained his PhD in 2008 from Queen Mary University of London. From 2008 to 2009, he worked for Nanocyl S.A. R&D department. In 2009, he joined Sichuan University as a lecturer and was promoted to associate professor in 2011 and to full professor in 2015. In 2019, he was awarded with National Natural Science Foundation of China Excellent Young Scientist Fund. In 2021, he was selected as ‌the Academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province. He has been awarded with the Oustanding Schalor of Sichuan Province fund, and New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan from the Ministry of‌ Education.


Research Interests

His main research interest is in the processing and applications of functional polymer composites, including electrical/thermal conductive materials, strain/pressure sensors, and energy harvesting materials.
