Biography

Prof. Dr. Xiancheng Ren, born in 1972, is a Doctoral supervisor. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Polymer Materials, Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1993, majoring in polymer synthesis. After obtaining his master's degree in 1996, he became a teacher at Sichuan University. Then, he received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Sichuan University in 2007. He was promoted to a full professor position in 2012.

Prof. Ren is responsible for teaching three undergraduate courses: "Fundamentals of Polymer Material Processing," "Principles of Polymer Blend Modification," and "Basics of Interface Science," as well as serving as a mentor for outstanding engineers. He has supervised more than thirty master's and doctoral students.


Research

His research focuses on the aging mechanisms and protection of polymer materials, catalytic degradation of organic pollutants, design and synthesis of new structural coordination polymer materials, electrocatalysis and high-value chemical synthesis. He has published more than 30 papers in Advanced Materials, Advanced Science, Small, Polymer, and other journals. He has led over twenty research projects, including two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one Sichuan Science and Technology project, and several horizontal research projects.
