Yuanting Xu obtained his BS (2010) and MS (2013) degree in polymer materials and biomedical engineering at Sichuan University, respectively. He then worked at the College of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University and continue to obtain the PhD degree (2020) in biomedical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Changsheng Zhao. He joins Prof. Yiwen Li's group currently and focuses on the environmental remediation applications of multifunctional polymer composite materials.

He mainly engaged in the research of environmental remediation applications of multifunctional polymer composite materials, such as solar steam generation. He was also in charge of some projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Sichuan Provincial Natural Science Foundation Program, Excellent Young Talent Program of State Key Laboratory of Polymer Materials Engineering, as well as the technology development projects of the Dongfang Electric Group (DEG), and so on.
